A little more about Julia and the design of the Julia Katz Bracelet:

As many of you may know, Jeff Katz of Newsradio WRVA has been one of Emily’s most tremendous supporters since day one. To thank him for his massive support, Emily has created a very special design. The Julia Katz Bracelet has been made in honor of Jeff’s daughter, Julia, whom he often refers to as The Princess. Like Emily, Julia suffers from a number of disabilities and challenges.

Jeff has been known for the special letters that he writes to Julia on her birthday ever since 2018. The first letter he originally posted on Facebook went viral overnight and was published by multiple news sources. Check out Jeff’s heartfelt letter to Julia on her 15th birthday here.

Julia has a true love for music. Jack's Big Music Show is one of her favorite TV shows, and she has enjoyed many concerts with her family. This is why Emily included a music note charm on Julia’s special bracelet.

Jeff Katz has been very involved with the special needs community for a long time. In fact, he is a volunteer with the Friendship Circle here in Central Virginia. The Friendship Circle works to build an inclusive community, one friendship at a time. Emily chose the turquoise and purple colors to accompany the music note, as they are the colors of the Friendship Circle.
